How to Catch up with Old Friends
Maybe you don’t want to meet your old girlfriends again. Or maybe they don’t ever want to see you again. But there are other people in your past whom you would want to see again, right? The Internet makes it easy to find people if they are hip like you and including some online information in their lives.
Think about it. You probably Tweet, have a Facebook or MySpace account, and maybe even blog. If you have registered a business, bought a house, or made a political contribution there is probably an online database that has your name. People can find out all sorts of things about you.
If you blog about yourself, keep a public phonebook listing, or join your class reunion databases you have made it possible for old friends and flames to find you. That’s pretty cool and maybe they have done much the same thing too. And if that is the case, have you looked online for your old friends?
Whether it’s that nerdy guy Jim Thomas or the remarkable Dennis Tamburo, or just the slightly famous Charlie Jones, someone out there has made it possible for you and his other old friends and acquaintances to find him.
So what are you waiting for? Get out the old search engines and start looking up the names of people you knew and missed.
